Autumn Morn< by Connie Stillinger February 7, 2007 This morning I felt the mist As it lingered among the trees. The air was clean and damp against my skin. My face embraced the tendrils as they stroked and slid along on their journey to where ever. I watched the sun kiss the treetops And the will o' the wisp turned to shimmering diamond drops Hanging like jeweled tears from the branches. The world slowly awoke and embraced the day. About the author: I am a 47 year old single mother who works as a Medical Technologist in a small rural Southern hospital. I love to read, read some more, LAUGH! play the piano, cook, write, collect blonde jokes and ask the question WHY!!!! Life is an adventure and I am enjoying the ride, class IV rapids and all!!! |
